SATURDAY, AUGUST 22, 2009
Up early-breakfast at McD.....then to Walgreens.......No luck. Prescription at KMART in Orland had expired. Called Dr. in Orland....new prescription issued....order filled....PRECIOUS MARY(GPS) programed for Yellowstone and we were on our way. And PRECIOUS MARY began giving directions....Oh...it was good to hear her voice again.....needless to say THE DRIVER(me) obeyed.
As I said on Friday, the scenery is refreshing.....Yes there are some sites that attract your attention......this Historical Marker.....That Lewis & Clark Monument. Although we were not on any time constraints, we still had to prioritize the sites we would stop and see. There is one Historical Landmark that always caught our attention....so we would stop:

LANDMARKS ALONG HWY 90

REST STOPS ALONG HWY 90

WHITEHALL MUSEUM-LEWIS & CLARK

SCENERY ON HWY 90

OLD FAITHFUL
There is no way I could upload the numerous pictures that were taken.. Pictures of the beginning of the railroads in this part of the country. Pictures of the strip mining and copper mining and of course the lakes, streams and small towns that we went out of our way just to drive through.
Tomorrow(Monday)we will take and all day trip driving down and through the Grand Tetons........Tuesday we will tour Old Faiteful area and the Canyon area. That too will take all day.....
Not sure where we will stay on Tuesday night......time will tell. We are staying at the Lazy C Motel West Yellowstone Good Night
