OREGON GARDEN & MT.HOOD

What happened to my notes?????Left American Value Motel and had only 225 miles to go... Called Judy, be there by 1:00 PM....WRONG.....WRONG.....WRONG..Navigator had other ideas. She wanted to stop and see the Oregon Garden. This was a garden that had 20 specialty gardens within its area. It was located in Silverton, Or Must say it was a beautiful setting
They even have a resort in the middle of the gardens. Take a look


By the way there is a Frank Lloyd Wright house on the premises.
It took a total of 3 hours to make this side trip....OK....we still can still make The House of Judith by supper. Called her and told her not to expect us for supper. Maybe even have time to stop in Portland. Time ........ Time......WRONG....WRONG....WRONG.navigator had another idea......Let's stop and see MT. HOOD.....It's only a short way outside of Portland.


So we took the road toward Mt. Hood. Now Mt. Hood is about 11,000 + feet high. Felt like Moses when he heard we have to walk around again for 40 years. This side trip was going to take us 160 miles(round trip) out of our way. Called Judith... Keep the Porch Lights On.....we should be in about 9:PM. What should have been a 4 hour trip has now become a 11 hour trip. The photos speak for themselves:


Finally after being on the road for the longest time in the entire trip.....11 1/2 hours we arrived in Lacey.....We had to Call Judith for directions........Tired......but glad to be in THE HOUSE OF JUDITH......
