DURANGO NARROW GAUGE RAILROAD
SATURDAY AUGUST 1, 2009 (continued)
You would have to be on that train to enjoy rustic beauty one sees as the train travels back to Durango. As we descended I visualized what It would be like to be camping along the river......under a warm summer...reading a book.....drinking coffee......and doughnuts.
By the way, I should let you know that my 12 year old Grandson Nathan Swan, set up this Blog for me last May. Then just before we left for this trip he taught me how to upload photos. So now when I need tech..support I call him.
Here are some photos of the trip going down...

These photos were taken as I stood on the small platform between the cars. I had to lean out to get a good shot of the engine as it went around the curve.
I wish I had my video camera when we were on this Durango Rail Narrow Gauge train. Yes...I did it again. I did bring the camera but forgot to bring the charger. I finally called to company to order another charger. Did I tell you I also forgot to bring my charger for my camera AND MY CELL. So I had to go Best Buy in Co. Springs and purchased one. Now I did bring the charger for my GPS; the chargers for our two cell phones...One old one and one for Wilma's cell. So one learns to make a check list. HEY......GIVE ME A BREAK!
We are now in Cortez. A small community outside of Mesa Verde. I will tell you about it in my next blog.
